Acts 2:14-40
“Miracles are valuable not so much for what they are as for what they indicate of the grace and power of the Lord.”
1.) God, Who Gets the Glory = Vs.11-13
When God uses you, you will walk away knowing full well that it had nothing to do with you.
Matthew 6:9, 1Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17, Deuteronomy 18:15, 18 and 19, Genesis 12:3, 18:18, 22:18, 26:4, and 28:14
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
Romans 10:17
2.) Jesus, Whom You Rejected = Vs.13-16
Matthew 27:22-25
At one time or another, we have ALL rejected Christ.
Acts 8:3, 1Corinthians 15:9, Romans 3:23
If we don’t know we are guilty, why would we need forgiveness?
3.) Ignorance, For Which You No Longer Have An Excuse = Vs.17-18
The tough thing about hearing the Gospel is, now you are accountable for what you know.
Romans 1:20, John 16:8, Mark 16:15
We are making people accountable to God, and that’s not very comfortable.
4.) The Conversion You Need = Vs.19 and 26
John 3:1-10
What you need will not happen until you are born again.
We experience inner rest when we have peace with God and then the peace OF God.
Romans 5:1-5, Philippians 4:6-7
We are ALL guilty before God, but He never leaves us with that unbearable burden.
Matthew 11:28
5.) The Future You Cannot Avoid = Vs.20-25
Matthew 10:19-20
The simple fact is, we all will stand before Him for judgment.
John 16:8, Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 10:32-33
The judgement of God is not an option, and neither is salvation in Christ.
The message of the Gospel doesn’t ignore uncomfortable truths, but it never leaves us without hope.
You have their attention; use it for the glory of God!
