1.) Willing to Get Out of the Boat = 11:2.
I wonder if the reason we don’t walk on water is we never get out of the boat?
Following Jesus is full of risks.
Are we going to stay in the boat when He calls us to walk on water?
Philippians 3:7-8, 1Corinthians 12:15
2.) Willing to Live Out Loud = 11:17.
What stops us from living our faith out loud?
2Timothy 1:7, 1John 4:18
Maybe what we need to do is take a chance.
Wouldn’t you rather err on the side faith than of doubt?
3.) Willing to Serve Selflessly = 11:12, 18, 12:9, 27-28 and 44-47.
I fear sometimes my interest in serving boils down to doing what I want, when I want and how I want.
Philippians 2:3, Luke 6:27-36.
If service to God and others makes me uncomfortable, maybe I am more in alignment with Jesus than I thought.
Who said selfless service was comfortable?
Serving God and others will stretch our faith and test our love.
We have been set free to serve!
4.) Willing to Give God the Glory = 12:27, 30-31 and 40-43.
Psalm 86:12, Psalm 9:1, Psalm 111:1
If you are saved, you have everything to be thankful for!
Does anybody know you are thankful?
No matter what is going on, I can find reasons to praise the Lord and be thankful.
I can praise Him for what He HAS done and what He WILL do.
I can praise Him simply for Who He is.
What are you willing to do for Him?
