1.) The Great White Throne Judgment = Revelation 20:11-15
Whoever is standing before the Great White Throne, has died rejecting God’s free gift of salvation through Christ.
Jeremiah 17:9-10, Revelation 21:27, Matthew 7:21-23
A.) The condition of unrepentant man = Romans 1:18-23, 28-32, 2:1-11
God has allowed man to pursue his own plans even though He has made Himself evident to him.
One of the hardest things to grasp, is the person who will not yield to God regardless of what they hear and see.
Romans 2:9, Revelation 20:13b
B.) The destination of unrepentant man = Matthew 25:46, Matthew 25:41, Matthew 13:42, Matthew 3:12, Matthew 22:13, 24:51 and 25:30, Mark 9:44-48, Isaiah 66:24, Revelation 20:14
Even if there are no literal flames, hell is beyond my comprehension.
Luke 16:19-31, Hebrews 9:27
God sends no one to hell; we choose our own destination while here on earth.
Romans 6:23, John 8:24, John 14:6, Hebrews 10:31, John 5:22-23
On the Day of Judgment, you will have to explain to Him why you rejected His free offer of eternal life.
2.) The Believers Judgment = Matthew 6:20
Every Christian will stand before Jesus and be judged for their character and life of service to God and mankind.
Matthew 25:23, 1Corinthians 3:11-15
A.) Different kinds of building material = Vs.12
It is possible to live a dull and feeble life as a Christian, and still go to Heaven.
Our salvation is not based on what we do, but on what He did.
He will build up others for and in His Kingdom, through you!
If we want to build a Christian life, we must build with eternal materials. Build it with His Word.
B.) What is built will be tested = Vs.13
If we have chosen to build poorly, and with poor materials, then it will burn.
You can get by on a bare minimum, but you will have nothing to show for your life here.
Our motive reveals “what sort” our work is for Him.
Jesus will test our work with fire.
C.) Rewarded work = Vs.14. 2Timothy 4:7-8
What an honor and privilege it will be to stand on that day and see work done for Him rewarded!
Are you fighting the good fight today? Are you going to finish the race? Will you keep the faith?
It is painful to see people that we know and love give up on the fight.
Let’s not fail to take advantage of the opportunities God gives us every day.
D.) Loss in Heaven = Verse 15. What kind of entrance do you want into Heaven?
I wonder, will we weep over all the opportunities we missed here on earth?
1Timothy 6:18, Ephesians 2:10
We need to be about His good work.
If we disagree with God, we are wrong. If we choose to ignore the fact of the Judgment, we do so to our own peril.
Whatever your view might be, if it contradicts the Word of God, then you are betting your eternal destiny He is wrong.
Romans 6:23, Philippians 2:9-11
Let it be our heartfelt desire and goal of life to enter Heaven and hear Jesus say to us, “Well done good and faithful servant…” (Matthew 25:21)
