If you are a Christian, you have given yourself to God and the end of your life is HIS decision, not yours.
These are but a few of the statistics concerning people whom Jesus loves and died for, who took their own lives.
Psalm 3:1, 6:1-3, 10:1, 13:1-2 and 22:1-2, John 16:33
1.) Suicides in the Bible = Exodus 20:13, Judges 9:54, Judges 16:30, 1Samuel 31:4, 1Samuel 31:5, 2Samuel 17:23, 1Kings 16:18, Matthew 27:5
In each of these cases, the individual had already abandoned the Lord and tried to control their own destiny.
2.) Depression Is Not a Sin = Jonah 4:9, Job 3, 2Corinthians 1:8
3.) Causes = In each cause we can look to, there is an answer in the Bible for it.
Job 1:20-22, Job 2:9-10
Job was willing to see ALL things as what God allowed.
This passage offers us the opportunity to see purpose in our pain.
The loss of hope is one of the most powerful depressants in the world.
The difference for Christians is that we are NEVER without hope.
We always have Someone, Who can actually do something about it, to bring all our stuff to.
4.) Spiritual Suicide = Colossians 4:14, Philemon 1:24, 2Timothy 4:10, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38, Habakkuk 2:4
We are either going to take God at His Word or we aren’t.
If we have faith (trust) in God and what He has said in His Word, then we have a game changer in our hands.
Romans 8:31-39, Hebrews 13:6
Man can do much harm, but never more than the grace, mercy and love of God can cover.
As a Christian, God has taken away from me all my reasons to kill myself.
