1.) Things We Can’t Do = Vs.15-22.
We try to keep everyday as holy to the Lord.
Galatians 5:19-21, 1Corinthians 6:9-10
If I call myself a Christian, then there are things I cannot do, or people will conclude that I am not a Christian.
2.) Things We Shouldn’t Do = Vs.15-16.
There is nothing wrong with much of what we do, both in work and play.
There are some things I shouldn’t do.
“If it looks bad it probably is”
We simply DO without any testing.
The world around us WILL judge us on appearances.
What we SHOULDN’T do is a bit more difficult to discern.
3.) Finding the Balance = Vs.19-20.
What does the Lord want me to do?
What is the Lord’s best for me?
I CAN do anything, but SHOULD I?
Discernment is taking the time to filter what we WANT to do through Scripture and discern what we SHOULD do.
4.) Priorities = Vs.21-22.
We need to learn how to think long term.
Matthew 6:33, Ephesians 4:1, Matthew 5:24, Matthew 7:5, Matthew 13:30, Matthew 20:27, Matthew 23:26
If we don’t get our priorities straight, then we will keep repeating the same mistakes.
Sometimes we need to get fed up.
Maybe it’s time to get fed up and get our priorities straight.
