Can God be trusted?
What does God want from me now?
1.) The Plea For More = Vs.1.
God, through His Word, is calling His people to something more than faith.
1Thessalonians 4:1-8, 2Timothy 2:1-7
Every disciple is a Christian, but not every Christian is a disciple.
How much of God and His Will for your life do you want?
He is pleading for more from you.
2.) The Grounds of the Plea = Vs.1.
What God is about to ask of you is to be viewed in the light of the mercy He has shown you.
The supreme motivation can never be anything less than love.
Consider what He has done for you; then let that be your motivation.
3.) He Wants Your Whole Self = Vs.1.
Anything that is a part of you, and all that makes you, “you” is what He wants.
1Thessalonians 5:23, Acts 20:22-24, 2Corinthians 11:22-33, Philippians 3:11-13, 2Timothy 4:6-8
God’s plan for your life includes far more than you think.
4.) The Living Sacrifice = Vs.1.
You, as the sacrifice, climb up on the altar and stay there, even when it gets hot.
Matthew 11:28, John 3:16, Matthew 4:19
Now He is asking you to die to yourself.
How many of us truly understand what it means to die to self?
Galatians 2:20, 1Peter 1:19
5.) This Is Reasonable = Vs.1.
It is reasonable to worship God by the surrender of your “self”.
The sacrifice of all you are to God is the process of becoming who God made you to be.
How long is the pathway from where I am to the sacrifice He is asking for?
You can choose to narrow down your obedience to one Master.
If you are not sacrificed to Him, then you are living for yourself.
Galatians 2:20, 2 Chronicles 16:9
God is looking for, pleading for…volunteers…
