My perspective does not matter. God is the one Who alone has the right to define these things.
James 4:17

We can spend all our time trying to get rid of bad habits.
I can spend my time allowing the Spirit to produce the things that are consistent with His Spirit within me.
In the process of producing the fruit of the Spirit in my life, the works of the flesh will die naturally.
Romans 8:12-14, Romans 5:1
Philippians 4:7
Apart from Christ in you, you will never produce what God wants to produce in you by His Spirit.
