Pat Verfurth
Lead Pastor
Pat Verfurth was saved at the age of 20 in an Assemblies of God church in 1990. A year later, God called Pat to be Pastor.
Pat immediately began attending Global Outreach Bible Institute in Modesto, CA, but needed 12 years of character development before God would entrust him with people’s souls as an Assistant Pastor. In 1995, Pat began attending Calvary Chapel Modesto, and was transformed through verse by verse teaching through the entire Bible.
In 2000, Pat and his family took a step of faith and relocated to Costa Mesa, CA, and attended the School of Ministry at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
Pat enjoyed being trained for pastoral ministry by various Pastors, but especially by Pastor Chuck Smith, whom he had in class each Monday morning for two years.
After graduating in 2002, Pat and his family were called back to Modesto, to become an Assistant Pastor under Pastor Damian Kyle. Pat founded and directed a new School of Ministry patterned after the one he graduated from at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
After 5 years of being on staff, with 35 men graduating from the School of Ministry, in 2008, Pat and family were sent out from the staff at Calvary Chapel Modesto to plant Calvary Chapel Manteca.
Pat served as Lead Pastor at Calvary Chapel Manteca for 10 years.
In June of 2022, God called Pat to become the new Lead Pastor of Calvary Chapel Half Moon Bay, where he currently serves.
Pat has been married to his wife Sandi for 30 years, and enjoys two children, Audrey and Henry.
Pat enjoys his family and friends, 49ers football, classic mustangs, and current events.
