I’ve been posting some of Carol’s teaching notes here and have been blessed by the feedback I’ve gotten from so many people. This will be my last posting under this heading. I may write about Carol again, but with this posting I’ll be moving on to other things and new blog posts, so stay tuned. It has a been a blessing to me to once again look into her heart by reading her notes and this post features one of the hardest things of all. These three verses are the last things Carol ever wrote before she passed away. At this time (January of this year, she passed away Feb.11) she was debating to merits of more chemo ultimately to decide against it. The cancer in her liver was really taking a toll at this point and it was getting very difficult for her to even hold on to a pen or pencil. I won’t go into the details, but it was as painful to see as it must have been for her to be unable to do such a simple thing. But as far as I know, this is the last thing she wrote with her own hand. I reproduce them here exactly as she wrote them.
Lo, I am with you, even to the end of the age.
For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart and knows all things.
I go to prepare a place for you.
